Autonomous Award sponsored by Ford
The first programming award won by Ramageddon in team history.
I'm the lead programmer for South Haven's FIRST Robotics Competition team. The team, Ramageddon, traveled to Gull Lake in March to compete at its first district event. Not only did we finish as event finalists for the first time in history, but we also won the Autonomous Award for the first time for our robot's automatic functions and features. Among these included the ability to automatically track to a target on the field and drive up to it, automatically place game pieces on the field, and the ability to manipulate the LED lights on the robot for driver usage and diagnostics.
The award earned the team points to compete at the state championship in April where we ended our season.
